With all of our rechargeable battery powered gadgets the need to access a AC power outlet while traveling is critical. One key to international travel is to know which type of converter plug to bring with you. I stumbled across the World Electric Guide web site which provides you with the type of voltage, frequency, and a picture of the type of plug(s) used in the country you are visiting. The other important factor is voltage; you need to check the label of all of your power chargers to insure that they meet the country's requirements. Most chargers these days are rated for 100-240 volts AC and 50 or 60 Hz. If yours does not meet the standard you have two choices; purchase a new power charger or a compatible (check amperage or wattage requirement) power converter (Radio Shack is usually a good source).
Update: I also found this helpful Wiki by Jeff Sandquist which provides locations of power outlets in airports.
Nice information on world electric guide. This converter plug is useful when you are travel outside can be benificial for you.
