T-Mobile has been testing their $49.99 unlimited calling (no data) plan in San Fransisco with no contract; today they are rolling it out nationwide. You need to have been with T-Mobile for 22 months to qualify.
For Family plan members like me, the first line is $49.99 and additional lines, up to 4, are $39.99 each. For my family, this plan would cost me $110 more a month, because we comfortably live within our 800 minute/HotSpot@Home/MyFaves plan which is $89.99 for 2 lines + $19.98 for 2 additional lines.
Although, this new offering sounds good on the surface, it seems to be geared towards individuals rather than families. I hope T-Mobile tweaks this plan for families. I really like the no contract featureā¦
After logging into my My T-Mobile, I was presented with the new offer.
Sometimes I find myself wryly amused when I work out the costs of various cellphone plans and determine that while some sound much better than others, and they often sound much different on the surface, they all end up costing about the same in the long run (in my particular situation).
It's almost as if TMobile put some thought into their pricing structure!
And the epic battle continues.
