Tuesday, I woke up to find my T-Mobile Wing continuously rebooting. After removing the battery, SIM card, and micro SD card I determined the unit would reboot fine when the micro SD card was removed. Once the unit booted, I could insert the micro SD card and everything worked fine.
Other than being a pain, having to take out the micro SD card defeats my nightly auto backup and reboot scheme. I searched the net and found that the problem may be related to an auto configuration feature of the Storage Card in Windows Mobile 6.
I first tried removing programs that perform some activity on startup like Pocket Informant, Sunnysoft's Backup Manager, NewsReader. None of the removals worked. I also read that holding the call end button during reboot would bypass the issue, this did not work on my unit.
I decided to perform a hard reset. The Wing rebooted fine in its default configuration. When I restored the backup the problem reoccured. At this point I was thinking that my only option was to rebuild from scratch or do more research.
More research paid off. Once again Paul at Modaco.com (the pagepool man...) had a solution. It seems that a key .dll somehow gets corrupted. All you need to do is rename \Windows\omap850_sdhc.dll to omap850_sdhc.dll.old and reboot. During the reboot the OS will reload a new copy of the file from the ROM. This worked.
Thanks Paul...
that .dll file rename works like a charm.......thanx, that reboot was buggin the hell out of me......now its fixed

I'm so glad I found this blog!! I was about to give up!!! I've been having this damn reboot problem for weeks. I once left it to see how long it would keep rebooting and it did it from morning til night til the battery finally died. I removed my MSD and it worked, so I'll rename the file and hopefully never have this problem again... THANKS!
