I hope you have got it all working now again. Where was the exact problem? I have just ordered a X60 for myself. Your experience may surely be helpful to many of us.

Hi,

See my posts in this category http://www.mydigitallife.us/thinkpad_x60/index.html on the subject. I am convinced that I just got a bad hard disk. The new 7200RPM drive seems much faster than the original.

Man I have an X60 and I am experiencing the exact same crap with it :(

Hi, I recently get x60, and I'm more that desapointed at it. I have the same dificulties as you. Wright now , I'm traing to open that hidden partition to reinstal it.

I have a Thinkpad X41 and I can't seem to restore the OS or choose the hidden recovery partition. Can anyone send me a copy of the Recovery Disk? Just host on a free hosting site and I can download it from there.

Please assist me with this. I would really appreciate your help!

Regards,
Vinod
