A day after I purchased the iPhone I joined it to the T-Mobile HotSpot network. Last week I ported the number associated with the HotSpot account and the account was closed. Friday I walked into a Starbucks and my iPhone kept connecting to T-Mobile. It took me a little while to figure out how to remove the WIFI entry and decided to document the steps.
It is a simple process when you know where to look. You go to settings/WIFI, select the entry you want to remove (with check mark on left) under "Choose a network", and press the > at the right of entry.
At the top of the next screen you press the "Forget this Network" button to delete the entry.
Published with the Typepad iPhone application.
Thanks so much for this. In my building there two available networks. I couldn't figure out to block one of them. Thanks.

Same here: I once tried to connect to this open network that in the end didn't work. And it kept on connecting to it, instead of the other one that works (now again).
Thanks for the hint!

I've done this, but my neighbors network pops up on my screen all the the and it's most annoying.
Is there nothing I can do to stop this?

I hope you all know that it's TARGET'S progress and technology that has allowed this capability, not Starbucks.

Your article was useful. And as I've watched the video, it is one way to implement insurance to people. I visit your site as often as I could.
