What AKU do you have on your Windows Mobile device?

What is an AKU? It stands for Adaptation Kit Update, these kits provide OEMs with bug fixes and functional updates from which they create the ROMs delivered to end users. The WIKI on Microsoft's Channel 9 provides more detail here and has a build to AKU cross reference table here . To check which AKU your device is running, you must first find out the build number by going to Start/Settings/System/About.

2.21 build number

I am running build number 14847 which corresponds to AKU 2.0. The ROM version is 2.21 and was put together by O2 (the OEM and cell service provider) then customized by Xelencin to work on the T-Mobile US network (read my blog entry here).

It appears the newly released Cingular ROM is build number 14928 which equates to AKU 2.2. Cingular has included the A2DP and AVRCP Bluetooth profiles in this build. Unfortunately there is still no good resource to determine what exact features and fixes are in AKUs.

Hey Xelencin, how long until you can put out an updated T-Mobile ROM package?
